Latin American Dances Standard Dances Social Dances

Latin American Dances, including Samba, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive, mostly being energetic, together with the Standard Dances, falls under the category of Dancesport. Especially, Cha Cha Cha and Rumba, which are two of the Latin American Dances to be performed in the competitions organized by World Dancesport Federation, are preferred to be performed with social purposes as well. 

This discipline consists of Slow Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot and Quickstep. Together with the Latin American Dances, it falls under the category of Dancesport. As well as in the competitions which are organized by World Dancesport Organization, Standard Dances are also preferred by couples to be performed in organizations such as balls, wedding and engagement ceremonies. 

Salsa, Argentine Tango, Merengue, Bachata and Swing are social dances, and they are based on improvisation. The practice of these dances in the dance parties is easy and entertaining.
